2014 update

Activities so far this year include:

-helping London School of Economics launch their project team for the new Social Sciences building;
-continuing the series of blogs about BIM in Building Magazine;
-publishing digital editions of my two books on Atrium Buildings. These came out in 1983-93 in UK, USA and Japan and helped to make the atrium building concept ubiquitous. They were in print format only so I have now re-published them digitally for everyone to see for free. Go to ‘Writings: Atrium books’ on this website for links to the page-turner editions provided by EMAP;
-contributing the Foreword and a chapter on BIM for Clients to Peter Ullathorne’s forthcoming RIBA Publications book on Clientship;
-supporting the RICS by speaking at two conferences and contributing to their Futures study;
-leading a round-table discussion of industry leaders on Build-to-Rent at BLP Insurance (where I am a Non-Exec Director), to uncover the issues which influence defect insurance for this growing housing type;
-supporting Jane Duncan’s successful bid for the RIBA Presidency for 2015-7;
-completing six years on the CIC Executive Board, as champion for innovation and UK BIM Ambassador for Growth. During my time there, CIC has strongly supported the emergence of government policies on construction, sustainability and BIM;
-advising top-ten contractor Willmott Dixon on their BIM Strategy;
-continuing to advise Cartwright Pickard Architects, recent BCO and RIBA award winners
